こんにちは。椿山荘が好きな47歳女です。（泊まったことは一度もなし！片思いｗ）以前、子供と椿山荘でパン作りをして楽しかったので、今度はホタルを見たい！と思いました。椿山荘では「蛍の夕べ」という一人18,000円の蛍を見られるディナーコースがありますが、我が家の家計では無理なため、庭園入場券を購入して蛍ちゃんを見てきました。

東京で蛍を見たい！という気分になったら、お手軽なのはホテル椿山荘だと思います。なんと、椿山荘では「蛍の夕べ」というイベントを60年以上も継続しているそうです。（→東洋経済オンライン情報）60年って結構すごい年月ですよね。蛍に関して、並々ならぬ知識や経験をお持ちなんです、椿山荘は。
I want to see fireflies in Tokyo! If you feel like doing so, I think Hotel Chinzanso is the easiest place to stay. Apparently, Chinzanso has been holding an event called “Firefly Evening” for over 60 years.
私は長年、どうしたら東京でスムーズに蛍を見られるか考えてきました。（→もっと他に考える事があるのでは、、！）まず、新宿区高田馬場の「おとめ山公園」に５年前くらいから電話で問い合わせていますが、コロナの時は中止だったり、日程が分かっても夜は子供が眠くて行けなかったりで、なかなかタイミングが合いませんでした；

そこで、今度は足立区の生物館で蛍を見るぞ！と思い、子供と行ってきました。生物館では先着で整理券を配っており、整理券をゲットできた人は蛍を見られます。しかし、このときも家事をしてたら出発が遅くなり、生物館に着いた時には整理券は終了となっておりました、、。（でも、生物館自体が楽しい場所だったんで、行って良かったです）

椿山荘で一人18,000円のディナーコースを食べずに蛍を見るには、いくつかの方法があります。1つ目は、~18:00までに庭園を見物することです。~18:00までの場合、庭園に入るのにチケットは必要ないため、料金は特にかかりません。ただこの場合、~18:00までの場合は蛍はあまり光らないんじゃない？問題があります（てへ）。
There are several ways to see the fireflies without eating the 1,8000 yen per person dinner course at Chinzanso. The first is to visit the garden by ~18:00.
また、食事も宿泊もせずに椿山荘に出入りするのは、大人としてなんだか気が引けまして、私はやりたくありません。あとは、一番安い喫茶店「フォレスタ」に入ってケーキでも食べ、その後で蛍を見に庭園に入る方法です。しかし、この場合は、もしかすると庭園の入口で止められる可能性があります。そこで、一番安く手っ取り早いのは庭園入場券を購入する方法となります。大人１名2千円、子供は1名千円です。
椿山荘の公式ホームページでは、だいたい5月くらいに蛍の夕べのページが出来ています。ネット検索で「椿山荘 庭園入場券 蛍」と検索すると蛍の夕べのページのリンクが表示されるので、そこから必要事項や時間を入力して料金をクレジットカードで支払うと、庭園入場券の申し込みは完了です。

If you search for “Chinzanso Garden Admission Ticket Fireflies” on the Internet, a link to the Firefly Evening page will be displayed, so enter the necessary information and pay with your credit card to complete your application for the garden admission ticket.
ホテルの庭園に入るのに入場料を払うのなんて、初めてでした。でも、蛍を見るために「ギフテ！」というお子様向け体験ツアーとかに参加すると、夜なのでホテルも予約しなきゃいけない。それに比べたら、かなりお手軽で助かります！

さてさて。椿山荘に入って、最初の30分くらいは庭園の中を散策した私達。
庭園の中にホタルが飛び交いまくってるのかと思ってましたが、実際はビオトープという水槽（？）の中にいる蛍と、庭園内の中央奥にある池みたいな場所にいる蛍の２個所に限定されていました。電気ではなく自然で不規則な光が、幻想的です。はるか遠い昔の平安時代にも、こうして蛍はチカチカしてたんですかね〜。

この日、椿山荘にはお仕事帰りのような背広のおじさんがたくさんいました。あとは外国人観光客もちらほら。子連れは私達と、あと子供５人くらいとお母さん２人がいましたね。夕方の散策を楽しんでいたら、突然白い雲がモクモク〜！と現れました。椿山荘の目玉企画、雲海です。HPでは見てたけど、蛍の夕べのときもやってくれるんですね♡
On this day, there were many men in suits at Chinzanso who looked like they were coming home from work. There are also a few foreign tourists here and there. There were us, about 5 other children, and 2 mothers. As I was enjoying my evening stroll, white clouds suddenly appeared! It appeared. The main feature of Chinzanso is the sea of clouds. I saw it on the website, but they also do it during the firefly evening ♡
