こんにちは♡ 子供が生まれてから、なぜかずっと秋に旅行に行ってなかったです。（夏、冬に行くのが多い）それで、ここ数年は秋に日光に行くのを自分的な目標にしていました。「日光行きたいな〜」と私が四六時中つぶやいていたら、なぜか小学生の子供も「日光、行きたい」と言い出すように。
Hello ♡ Ever since my child was born, I haven’t traveled in the fall for some reason. (I usually go there in the summer and winter) So for the past few years, I’ve made it my personal goal to go to Nikko in the fall. “I want to go to Nikko,” I muttered all day long, and for some reason my elementary school children started saying “I want to go to Nikko.”
そんなわけで、今回の「東京の小学生とおでかけ！」のテーマは子連れで11月に弾丸一泊旅行です。
11月の３連休で日光のはずが子の風邪で3週目に延期へ
It was supposed to be Nikko during the three-day holiday in November, but it was postponed to the third week due to my child’s cold.
楽しみにしていた日光旅行は、延期を経て2023年11月18日（土）19（日）に行きました。子供って旅行の前に、本当によく熱だしませんか？今回、うちの子の場合も、それまで元気だったのに、急に38度越えの熱が出てチ〜ン、、。わたしの方も、喉が痛くて調子悪かったですね。もしかして、秋の花粉症ってやつかなあ。
The trip to Nikko that I was looking forward to was postponed to November 18th (Sat) and 19th (Sun), 2023. Do your kids really get a fever before going on a trip?
それで、日程がなかなか空いているところがなかったので、子供の土曜授業の日の午後に日光に行きました。風邪が治ってから２週間は空いてましたが、日光は寒いかな〜と思い、少し心配になりました。
夕方６時の日光駅は東京より寒かった
Nikko Station at 6pm was colder than Tokyo.
さて、東武日光駅に18時に到着しました。東京より全然寒くて、なんと夜の気温は５度。駅にいる皆さんの格好もダウンとかで、冬仕様です。東武日光駅には多くの外国人観光客の方がいました。
Well, I arrived at Tobu Nikko Station at 6pm. It’s a whopping 5 degrees colder than Tokyo. Everyone at the station is wearing down jackets, which is perfect for winter. There were many foreign tourists at Tobu Nikko Station.
今回は旦那が行かない旅行なので、私はケチケチで行こうと決めましたｗ 日光駅のすぐ近くに、スーパー「リオン・ドール日光店」があるみたい。明日の朝食は、スーパーで調達するぞ！歩いて行けそうだけども、暗くてわからないのでタクシーを待つことに。
Since my husband won’t be going on this trip, I decided to be stingy and go.There seems to be a supermarket called “Rion d’Or Nikko store” right near Nikko station. I thought I could walk, but it was dark so I decided to wait for a taxi. But the sunlight is cold.
But! この選択は、しくじりでした。リオン・ドールは本当に東武日光駅からわかりやすく、駅からまっすぐ前に伸びる道を３分程度歩けば着くのでした。タクシー代初乗り５００円が損；でも、子連れだし寒いからOKです！
Lion d’Or is really easy to find from Tobu Nikko Station, and you can get there by walking for about 3 minutes along the road that stretches straight ahead from the station. I lost 500 yen for the first taxi ride; but it’s ok since I’m bringing my kids and it’s cold!

リオン・ドール日光店にタクシーで着きました。寒い、寒い！と親子で入り、カゴを取って「何買おうか〜♡」とウキウキ物色しました。入り口の右手には、日光のお土産も売ってます。しばらく商品を見ていたら、（あれ？リオン・ドールって、もしかして、安くね？）と気付いてしまいました。東京のイオンより明らかに安い、、！
I arrived at Lion d’Or Nikko store by taxi. It’s cold, it’s cold! The parents and their children entered the store, took the basket, and excitedly looked around, wondering, “What should I buy?”
リオン・ドールの店内には、たくさんの外国人観光客の方がいました。みんな、節約のため、スーパーを活用しているんだなあと思いました。日本にお金を落としてくれて、ありがとう！私は、外国人が大好きなので、見かけるとニコニコして（いつでも、助けますよ〜）という気持ちになります★ （外国人の多いスーパーで私の髪色に金色が入っていたためか、レジでは英語で話しかけられ、びっくりしましたｗ）
There were many foreign tourists inside Lion d’Or. I thought everyone was using the supermarket to save money. Thank you for dropping money into Japan! I love foreigners, so whenever I see them, I smile and feel like I’ll help them any time.
夜ご飯は口コミの良さを信じてしまい晃寿司へ
For dinner, I went to Akira Sushi because I believed the reviews were good.
リオン・ドール日光店での買い物が終わり、次は夕飯です。外は真っ暗でよくわからないので、日光街道沿いの口コミが良いお店「晃寿司」へ行きました。ここでは湯葉が食べられるそうで、外観はとてもきれい。多くの外国人や日本人が「良い店」と評価をしているので、安心して中に入りました。
After shopping at the Lion d’Or Nikko store, it was time for dinner. It was pitch dark outside and I couldn’t really see what was going on, so I went to Akira Sushi, a restaurant along Nikko Kaido that had good reviews. Apparently you can eat yuba here, and the exterior is very pretty.
中に入ると、スタッフさんが出迎えてくれました。「お急ぎですか？」と聞かれたので、（30分以内に出ないといけない！とかはないよね）と思い、「大丈夫です」と答えてしまいました。店内は料亭のように素敵で、「日光で素敵なお寿司屋さんに入れたね♡」と、わたしたち親子はウキウキしていました。
When I entered, the staff greeted me. When I was asked, “Are you in a hurry?” (I don’t have to be there within 30 minutes, right?), I answered, “No problem.”
着席からお寿司の到着までが60分以上かかった
Googleの口コミにも書きましたが、このお店、私がこれまで行った飲食店とはだいぶ違い「のんびり」なお店でした。ジュースが出るまでは10分と普通。湯葉が出るまでは20分。これならまだ許せる。しかし、その後のお寿司が出るまで60分経過してもいっこうに出てこない。（え？この店、どうなってんの？口コミは全部良かったじゃん；）と、子供の前で焦りました。すると、
As I wrote in the Google reviews, this restaurant was much different from the restaurants I’ve been to in the past, and it was a “relaxed” restaurant. It usually takes 10 minutes for the juice to come out. It takes 20 minutes for the yuba to come out. I can still forgive this. However, the next batch of sushi did not come out even after 60 minutes.
私と同じで星１つを付けた方もいて、私は運が悪かったのか〜！と思いました。腹ペコで60分たって食べられたのは湯葉、オレンジジュース、お味噌汁で、あとは10分くらいで急いでお寿司を食べました。（子供が待ちすぎて食欲失せてしまったから、私がほぼ二人分食べた）
Some people gave it 1 star like me, so maybe I was unlucky! I thought. After 60 minutes of being hungry, all I could eat was yuba, orange juice, and miso soup, and then I hurriedly ate sushi in about 10 minutes. (My child waited too long and lost his appetite, so I ate almost enough for two.)
時間を巻き戻せるなら、最初に「お急ぎですか？」と聞かれた際か注文した際に「１時間かかりますが」と一言スタッフさんが教えてくれたら、結果は違ったよな〜、と残念でした。（お寿司も、なんだかぬるい？感じで、特別おいしくは感じませんでした。これなら、もっと安くておいしい店、東京にあるぜ？！みんなの感覚と全然違うな、わたし！）
If I could go back in time, if the staff had told me “It will take an hour” the first time I was asked “Are you in a hurry?” or when I placed my order, the outcome would have been different. It was a shame. (The sushi was also kind of lukewarm? I didn’t find it particularly delicious. There are cheaper and better restaurants in Tokyo like this! My taste is completely different from everyone else’s!)

さて、気を取り直して、寿司屋からホテルへレッツゴー！です。お寿司を食べながら、同時にタクシー会社にも数件、電話をしました。東武日光駅前でタクシーをめちゃくちゃ待ったからです。３件目の電話でようやく「今すぐなら大丈夫ですよ」と言ってもらえました。（偶然にも、リオン・ドールへ行ってくれたタクシーの運転手さんでした）ベストシーズンの日光は、タクシーを捕まえにくようです。お寿司屋さんからホテルまでは、タクシー料金が900円ほどでした。
Now, let’s pull ourselves together and go from the sushi restaurant to the hotel! is. While eating sushi, I also called several taxi companies. I had to wait a long time for a taxi in front of Tobu Nikko Station. On the third phone call, they finally told me, “If it’s right now, it’s okay.”
「わ〜い(^o^)」「やった〜！」と、ホテル好き親子は喜びました。フェアフィールド日光は車で行く人向けの道の駅的なホテルですが、一応、タクシーでも行けちゃいます。（バス停３つ分くらいなので、ホテルから駅までの下りなら歩けるかも）「いらっしゃいませ♡」と、めっちゃくちゃ温かい声がけをして頂きました。マリオット系列のホテルは、クレジットカードも持っているし接客が素晴らしいので、大好きです♪
The hotel-loving parents and children exclaimed, “Wow (^o^)” and “We did it!”. Fairfield Nikko is a roadside station-like hotel for people who come by car, but you can also get there by taxi. (It’s about 3 bus stops away, so you might be able to walk down from the hotel to the station.) “Welcome♡” I was greeted with a very warm voice.

日光に着いて、スーパーに行き、お寿司屋さんに行ったので、少し疲れました。私達は「ベッド嬉しいね」「きれいだね」とか言いながら、子供と一緒にテレビを見たり、おしゃべりしたり、スマホをいじったりして、ベッドでゴロゴロして過ごしました。これが本当に楽しいですｗ（旦那よ、すまん、、。でも、この分は私は別で稼いでるので！）
After arriving in Nikko, I went to the supermarket and a sushi restaurant, so I was a little tired. We spent our time lazing around in bed, watching TV, chatting, playing with our smartphones, and saying things like “I love your bed” and “It’s beautiful.”
特に嬉しかったのは、枕が２つあって、ふかふかで私好みな点です。フェアフィールドマリオットは湯船がなくてシャワーのみですが、それも全然気になりません。では、おやすみなさい。ZZZ
朝テラスでご飯を食べたら紅葉はまだだった

さて、朝です。朝ごはんは、昨日のスーパーで買ったやつを食べます。気付いたんですが、わたしたちが泊まったときのフェアフィールド日光は外国人だらけ。why? マリオット系ホテルは高齢者はあまり好きじゃなさそうだし、意識高い系のビジネスマンは平日に来そうだし、って感じか？
Well, it’s morning. For breakfast, I eat what I bought at the supermarket yesterday. I noticed that Fairfield Nikko, when we stayed there, was full of foreigners. why?
中国人の方も隣でご飯を食べましたが、あまり若くないのに自撮り棒で動画を取ってたりして、日本人よりも先進的な気がしました。明るいんだよね、中国の方。わたしは好きです。
There were some Chinese people eating next to me, and even though they weren’t very young, they were taking videos with selfie sticks, and I felt like they were more advanced than the Japanese people. You’re bright, China. I like it.
ちなみに、フェアフィールドマリオットには全てキッチンがついていて、無料でコーヒーが飲めます。もっと安ければ、連泊したいな！さて、朝ゆっくりめで起きた私達は、このあと焦りました。ホテルから日光駅まで無料送迎があるのですが、そのバスを逃してしまったのです；（うう、、）（参考：フェアフィールドマリオット栃木日光 公式サイト）旅行って時間配分、むずかしいっすよね〜。でも楽しかった！また来ます！（子供ちゃんの素敵スマイルもたくさん撮れました！）
By the way, all Fairfield Marriotts have kitchens, and you can drink coffee for free. If it were cheaper, I would like to stay for several nights!
日光駅前の金谷ホテルベーカリーでパンを買う

日光駅に着きました。さあ、本日もう帰るので、最低限、日光東照宮は行かないとね！と私の脳みそは考えていました。しかし、駅前に金谷ホテルベーカリーがあったのです。（金谷ホテルのレストランに行きたくて調べましたが、私には高すぎて無理でした、、。）帰りでもいいけど、、。でも、帰りはどうなるか分からんし、買っとくか！と思いました。
I arrived at Nikko Station. Well, I’m heading home today, so at least I have to go to Nikko Toshogu Shrine! That’s what my brain was thinking. However, there was Kanaya Bakery in front of the station. I don’t mind going home though… But I don’t know what will happen when I get home, so I guess I’ll just buy it! I thought.
「ねえねえ、２個まで買っていいよ。あと、パパのも選んでね。電車でも食べれるしね。」と子供に言いました。「うん！！★」と子供は言いました。パンを選ぶのって楽しい。金谷ホテルベーカリーでカレー（１０００円）も売ってたので、おみやげに買いました。（めっちゃ美味しかった）
