習い事の関係で、たまに旧古川庭園の近くを通ります。でも、たまに通るため（いつでも来れるし）と、はっちゃん（子供）が２歳の頃に行って、その後2020年10月に薔薇のポスターを見たはっちゃんが「ママ、薔薇見たい」と言って入ったあとは、2年間古河庭園に行っていませんでした。
そんな訳で、今回の「東京の小学生のおでかけ！」のテーマは旧古川庭園の薔薇です。

旧古川庭園とは？

古河庭園の正式名称は「旧古川庭園」で、東京都北区の西ヶ原にあります。庭園の中に洋館って珍しくないですか？観光地なら分かりますが、観光地じゃない北区西ヶ原にあるなんて。
なんでも、この洋館は元々は古河財閥の古河虎之助男爵の邸宅として使われていたお屋敷だそうです。

古川庭園への入り口は１箇所です。古河庭園の最寄り駅はJR京浜東北線の上中里（上中里）駅で、徒歩5～6分です。目の前には北区のKバスの停留所「旧古川庭園」（王子～駒込ルート）もあります。

入口入って左手に受付があります。そこでお金を払うとチケットをもらえます。小学生のはっちゃんは無料でした。（⇒小学生無料が多くて羨ましい４5歳、、）

久々にこういう庭園に来ました。思ったより人がいました。今日は小雨だったのに、みなさん傘をさして薔薇を鑑賞します。良いカメラをお持ちの方も多いです。（カメラで「薔薇を激写するで！」と鼻息ムンムンの方がたくさん入場。
旧古川庭園は全然さびれてないですね。カップルや年金暮らしでセカンドライフを満喫している方など幅広い年齢層の方が沢山いらっしゃいました。

There is only one entrance to Furukawa Garden. The nearest station to Furukawa Garden is Kami-Nakazato Station on the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line, which is a 5- to 6-minute walk.

私たちが古川庭園に行った日で日付がわかるのは、2020年の10月11日、そして本日2022年6月12日（日）です。10月20日のの咲きっぷりですが、体感的には３割くらいかな～という感じです。最近寒かったり雨が続いていたので、少女漫画の背景のようににバラをしょえる感じにはなってませんでした。

でも、本日6月は6割強、咲いていたと思います。でも、もし咲いていなかったとしても古河庭園てバラ以外にもたくさん見どころがある庭園です。

園内をだいたい一周したころ、この階段を見かけました。私は有料のヤツだしもう足が痛かったので帰る方向に仕向けようとしていましたが、はっちゃんはすかさず「ママ、これ何？と尋ねてきます。

ちょうど、うちの娘と同い年の男の子とそのお母さんも一緒にお抹茶をいただきました。私は作法が曖昧なので教えませんでしたが、その親子はしっかりお作法をしていて、軽く（ああ、私って母親力ひくい、、）と３秒くらい凹みました。

ちなみに、6月の本日はこの茶屋は満員御礼。入れ替わり立ち替わりひとが出入りし、（ここはマックか？！）と思うくらい、オペレーションしっかりしてました。ひとりあたり滞在時間5分程度で500円。回転率はなかなかよいです♡

古川庭園は園内の敷地内すべてで飲食が不可なわけではありません。洋館内にはカフェがありますし（コーヒーで850円、ケーキが550円）、こちらの売店ではローズジャム（1,300円）や瓦せんべい（450円）、バラを練り込んだバラアイス（250円）も販売しています。
椅子もあるので、軽く休憩するだけならここでもOKです♡

旧古川庭園の門を背にして右側のはす向かいに滝乃川会館があります。その１階にレストラン「けやき」があります。ランチは日替わりで750円。私がこの日に食べたのは肉野菜定食です。
優しく感じの良い男性と女性が接客してくださいます♡

③上中里駅前に信じられないくらい安い飲み屋があります

旧古川庭園の最寄り駅はJRなら上中里駅です（東京メトロなら西ヶ原駅）。上中里駅に行けば絶対にわかる、なんかスゴそうな飲み屋さんがあります。ここ、日曜は低級ですがそれ以外はランチも営業しております。

なんかイケテる感じをかもしだしていたので、Twitter見てみたらやっぱりつぶやいていた方がいました。そうか、赤羽のDNAを持った店だったわけか、納得。

The closest station to the Kyu-Furukawa Garden is Kami-Nakazato Station for JR (Nishigahara Station for Tokyo Metro). If you go to Kami-Nakazato Station, you will definitely find a bar that looks amazing. It’s low-class here on Sundays, but other than that, lunch is also open.
