こんにちは♡共働きのみなさん。毎日、子供の夏休みで悩まれてますか？、、うちも一緒です！私なんて大胆かつ小心者のB型なんで、何ヶ月も前から（夏休み、この辺で学童以外の預かりを入れて仕事する）なんて、ガッチガチに計画を立てています。

そんなわけで、今回の「東京の小学生とおでかけ！」はどこかに遊びに行くおでかけではなく、サマーチャレンジという夏休みの英会話スクールの預かりイベントについて解説します。

夏休みに毎日学童はかわいそうでは？

夏休みに毎日学童。これは、働くお母さんとお父さんにとっては死活問題なので、仕方が無いことだと思います。夏休みだからって仕事休めません。でも、子供は学校がなくて、小学2年生の後半くらいからは（学童に行ってない友達もいるようだ）と感づいてきます。

However, children don’t go to school, and from the latter half of the second grade of elementary school (it seems that some friends don’t go to school).

子供のタイプにもよりますが、うちの場合は小学2年生の途中から「学童嫌だ」と言ってきました。何かいじめられている訳でもないですが、単純に「飽きた」「つまらない」そうです。そりゃあそうだ。友達に「今日遊ぼう」と誘われ、「学童なんだ」と断りたくないんだよね。

でも、親の方は子供に学童に言ってもらえないと安心して仕事ができず、生活ができなくなってしまうので「学童行って！」と命令せざるを得ません。

「親が働かないと子供は生活できないんだから、夏休みも文句言わずに学童に行くべし」と、私は思いません。どうしてもダメな事情もあると思いますが、なんとか親と子供でWINーWINの方法があるか探したいです。

I don’t think that children can’t live if their parents don’t work, so they should go to school without complaining during the summer vacation. I think there are some bad circumstances, but I would like to find out if there is a WIN-WIN method for parents and children.

うちの場合、私はパートですが月に140時間ほど働いていて扶養からは外れています。旦那は平日は帰宅が22時頃です。実家は父が介護ぎみなので頼れない状況です。つまり、頼れるのは己のみですw

学童を週2にしてベースを作った

そこで、まずは嫌がっている学童にも週2で行ってもらうことにしました。嫌がっていても、週2くらいなら「行くよ」と行ってくれます。月・水または火・木に学童に入れることにしました。夏休みは5週間あったので、週2でも×5で計10回。全40日の夏休みで10日分の予定は立てられた計算です。ビバ★

次に、私の持っている有給をフル活用します。私の勤めている会社では有給を半休で取れるので、わざと細かく0.5日で7回ほど休みを入れました。これで3.5日分の有給消化です。丸一日ではないため、急ぎの仕事があっても対応できるし、ミーティングにも参加できます。そして、子供も午前中だけであればテレビを見たり宿題を過ごしたりして家で楽しそうに過ごしています。午後からの半休を使い、プールや工作などのアクティビティに連れて行って夏をエンジョイするのです。

平日に行ける英語やSTEM教育系のワークショップに申し込んだ

I signed up for an English and STEM education workshop that I can go to on weekdays.

40日の夏休み。土日2日×5週間=10日を抜かすと、全30日。30日のうち10日は学童として、残り20日あり、20日のうち5回ほどはママの半休で遊びに行きます。残り15日。

残り15日は、夏休み単発の英語やSTEM教育系のワークショップに申し込むことにしました。地域のニュース（ポストに投函されてる）を見て、往復はがきで申し込みできるものは7月くらいから申し込んでおきます。これは料金が最も安いので助かります♪

For the remaining 15 days, I decided to apply for one-off English and STEM education workshops during the summer vacation. After looking at the local news (posted in the mailbox), I will start applying for items that can be applied for by return postcard from around July. This is saved because the price is the cheapest ♪

あとは、MLSという英会話スクールやCANVASの主催するワークショップ、TGGなどの民間教育施設のワークショップに申し込みます。半日3,000円～5,000円、一日1万円くらいしますが；何ヶ月も前から少しずつ申し込んで支払っているので、そこまで負担ではありません。何より、子供が別の地域のお子さんや先生と触れ合うのは、夏休みならではなのですごく良いな～と思いました。（→子供も友達できた！と嬉しそうでした）

あとは、40日もせっかく夏休みがあるので、宿泊計画を立てまくろうと思いました。1回で何泊もするのではなく、1回はパパと、2回めはママと野球のナイターを見たあとで、3回めはママ友とその子供とのキャンプで、というように、小刻みに計3回の宿泊予定を入れました。全部正規で払っていると高いので、日頃から使っているSPG（現：マリオットボンボイカード）というクレジットカードのポイントを使い、図々しく無料で泊まります。

あとは、ハフという宿泊サブスクサービスを使い、2名につき2,800円くらいの低予算で泊まります。ハフの宿泊には1泊2,800円以外にコインが必要なので、日頃からコインを貯めておくとこういう長期休みに助かるな～！と、その威力にしみじみしました。

Also, since we have summer vacation on the 40th, I decided to make a lodging plan. Instead of staying for several nights at one time, once with daddy, the second time after watching a night baseball game with mom, and the third time at camp with mom friends and their children. とかいって、えらそうに「私はこうして夏休みを共働きで乗り切った！」と言いたい私ですが、やはり学童のチカラは大きいです。これで来年からは子供がお友達と約束して毎日遊んでくれたらいいのですが、遊ぶ場所がない問題がまた浮上します；

私は在宅ワークなのでうちに来られたら困りますし、かといってお友達のおうちに毎日入り浸るのも悪いので気が引けます。東京の屋外はあつすぎて熱中症になります。、、なんだこりゃ？、、みんなどうやって小学生の夏休みを充実させているのかしら？教えて欲しい～！！、、来年までに。うちはマイル貯めて、韓国でも行こうかな！
