【北区】eスポーツの体験に小学生と行って来たよ♡

[Kita-ku] I went to experience e-sports with elementary school students ♡

はっちゃんは今小学１年生ですが、学校からたまに民間の習い事のチラシをもらってきます。最初は（え？！公立の小学校が民間企業のプッシュってしてもいいものなの？）と驚きました。

Hatchan is now in the first grade of elementary school, but she occasionally receives leaflets for private lessons from the school. At first, I was surprised (Huh ?! Is it okay for a public elementary school to push a private company?).

バスケットボールの体験などは飛びつきませんでしたが(本人に興味がない）、「ｅスポーツ」という何だか耳慣れない単語が載ったチラシは興味をそそられました。

I didn’t jump into the basketball experience (I’m not interested in him), but the leaflet with the somewhat unfamiliar word “esports” was intriguing.

eスポーツってゲーム、、？なんか、はっちゃんが好きなマイクラのイラストが載ってるし。

What is esports? Somehow, there is an illustration of Minecraft that Hatchan likes.

と、いう訳で、今回の東京の小学生とおでかけ！のテーマは「ｅスポーツ」です。

That’s why I went out with an elementary school student in Tokyo this time! The theme of is “e-sports”.

海外だとeスポーツってスゴイらしい

eスポーツの体験に行って分かったのですが、eスポーツで「スポーツ」という名前がついていますが、何もオンラインテニスとかのスポーツだけ、という事ではなく。

When I went to experience e-sports, I found out that e-sports has the name “sports”, but it’s not just about sports such as online tennis.

オンラインの仕組みを使った将棋などの対戦ゲームや、ドローンをリモコンで操作して競い合うレースなどを総称してeスポーツとのことでした。

Esports is a general term for competitive games such as shogi that use an online system, and races in which drones are operated by remote control to compete.

日本では「eスポーツ？何それ」状態ですが、海外だともっと認知されていて、一流の選手は普通に野球選手やサッカー選手以上の年収を得ているそうです。

In Japan, it is in the state of “esports? What is it?”, But it is more recognized overseas, and it seems that first-class players usually earn more than baseball players and soccer players.

Fortnite（を最近知った；） World Cupでは、一位の人への賞金が約３００万ドル。日本円にして約３億2,500万円です。ちょっと桁がすごいですね。

For the time being, I applied for a free trial in Kotonia, Kita-ku ♡

私は「やらないで後悔」がキライな大人げないオバチャンなので、今回も「マイクラの絵っぽいチラシだった」という安直な理由により、即効で申し込みました。

I’m an unadulterated obachan who doesn’t like “don’t regret”, so I applied for it immediately for the simple reason that “it was a picture-like leaflet of Minecraft”.

すると、「申込者が大変多いため、第三希望まで日時をご記入ください」や「〇月〇日であれば体験が可能なのですが」という、日時調整のお願いのメールが来ました。

Then, I received an e-mail requesting the date and time adjustment, such as “Because there are so many applicants, please enter the date and time until your third choice” and “I can experience it on XX days.”

そりゃ、小学校全体にチラシを配ったらそうなるよｗ無料だし。いま、プログラミングとかマイクラとか流行ってるし、これからのスタンダードだろうしね！

体験はやはり男の子参加が多かった

北区赤羽のコトニアは、元々「河童天国」というスーパー銭湯があった場所の跡地にあります。

Kotonia in Akabane, Kita-ku, is located on the site of the former super public bath called “Kappa Tengoku”.

①保育園②高齢者のための施設、③ジェクサーというスポーツジムのスクール、そして④いろむすびCAFE（多目的CAFE）の４つがテナントとして入っています。

There are four tenants: (1) nursery school, (2) facilities for the elderly, (3) a sports gym school called Jexer, and (4) Iromusubi CAFE (multipurpose CAFE).

小学校の知り合いのママに会い、「あ～！はっちゃん」などと声をかけられます。マズイ。うち、女の子なのに来ちゃったな！

You can meet a mom you know at an elementary school and say “Ah! Hatchan”. Mazui. I’m a girl, but I came!

体験の主催者はeSPアカデミー

The organizer of the experience is eSP Academy

「小学校で配ってたチラシだから、そんな押しの強い勧誘はないだろ」と軽い気持ちで体験を受けました。しかし、別にそんな強い勧誘は全くなかったですが、普通の民間企業の習い事の体験レッスンという雰囲気です。

印象的だったのは、eスポーツという何だかオタク的な趣味（⇒めっちゃ個人的な偏見です！）に関する習い事なのに、講師の方がまるで運動系のインストラクターのような話し方や態度なことです。

What impressed me was that although it was a lesson about e-sports, which is a somewhat nerdy hobby (⇒ it’s a very personal prejudice!), The instructor’s way of speaking and attitude is like an athletic instructor.

その部分はとても良いな～！と思いました。また、子供たちはレッスンでミッションを与えられ、それをクリアする喜びを得たり、仲間と話し合ったりするきっかけも与えられます。

That part is very good! I thought. Children will also be given missions in the lessons, which will give them the joy of completing them and the opportunity to discuss with their peers.

う～ん。何だかはっちゃんも楽しそうだし、プログラミングやeスポーツの習い事も、やったらやったで価値はありそうだね？という気がしてきました。

Hmmm. It looks like Hatchan is having fun, and programming and e-sports lessons are worth doing, right? I feel like that.

入会金がちょっと高い；ピアノと同じ曜日のため断念しました

Admission fee is a little high; I gave up because it is the same day as the piano

eSPアカデミーの月謝は8,000円でした。リタリコアカデミーなどと比べると、かなり安い方です。私は今の仕事もパソコンを使ってますし（⇒というか、パソコン以外使ってません；）パソコンやゲームに子供が強くなるのは大賛成です。

The monthly fee for eSP Academy was 8,000 yen. Compared to Ritalico Academy, it is considerably cheaper. I also use a computer for my current job (⇒ I don’t use anything other than a computer;) I strongly agree that children will become stronger with computers and games.

しかし、学校の宿題もあるし、ピアノの練習もあるし、あれもこれも増やして、はっちゃんがおうちでゴロゴロする時間も確保しないとかわいそうだよなあ、、と思い、今回は「絶対に死んでもやらせたい！」と思わなかったため、見送りました。

However, I have school homework, piano practice, and more, and I’m sorry if I don’t have enough time for Hatchan to mess around at home. Well, I thought, “I definitely want to do it even if I die!”, So I gave it up.

習い事の月謝で迷ったら、オンラインのが安くてオススメです。
