こんにちは。東京には今台風が来ています。台風と言えばジブリです。（なんのこっちゃ）
何度も台風が来て、そのうちもう少し涼しくなるだろうなあ。うちの小学生のはっちゃんの夏休みも、既に半分終わりました。早いものです。
hello. A typhoon is coming to Tokyo now. The typhoon will come many times, and it will be a little cooler soon. Summer vacation for our elementary school student, Hacchan, is already half over. It’s early.
そんな事を思いながら、ふと（大人だって夏休みほしい！）と思っちゃいました。だって、オイラ月～金まで仕事して+土日も家事・育児やってるよ？というわけで、今回ははっちゃんが行きたがらなかったので私（⇒ママ）ひとりで天王洲の鈴木敏夫先生とジブリ展に行ってまいりました。そりゃ！
While thinking about such a thing, I suddenly thought (even adults want summer vacation!). After all, do you do housework and childcare from Monday to Friday + Saturdays and Sundays? So, this time, Hacchan didn’t want to go, so I (mama) went alone with Mr. Toshio Suzuki in Tennozu to see the Ghibli exhibition. That’s right!

How long does the Toshio Suzuki and Ghibli exhibition take?
鈴木敏夫とジブリ展は天王洲の寺田倉庫B＆Cホールで開催中です。開場の総面積は328坪。展覧会の規模としては平均的で、小さすぎず広すぎない感じです。大人が見る所要時間は、1時間半～2時間弱程度かなと思います。本当に丁寧に見たら、グッズ買う時間入れて2時間半くらいかかるかもしれません。
The Toshio Suzuki and Ghibli Exhibition is now on at Warehouse TERRADA B&C Hall in Tennoz. The total area of the opening is 328 tsubo. The size of the exhibition is average, not too small and not too big. I think the time required for an adult to see is about an hour and a half to a little less than two hours.
A lot of girls. Small children. No, there might have been quite a few men, even middle-aged. After all, there are various age groups!
1階部分で鈴木氏の幼少～現在までの年表や部屋の様子、コレクションなどが閲覧できます。ちなみに会場内はスマホ撮影禁止です。（一部ブース以外）鈴木氏は愛知県出身。自らが住む場所は工場がある下町なのに、通う学校はお金持ちが通う学校だったそうで、なんとなくジブリにもその影響があるなあと思います。鈴木氏のお父上はバリバリ日本映画が好きで、時代劇が好きだったそう。一方、鈴木氏のお母様はハリウッド映画の洋物好きのお方だったそうで、鈴木氏は海外の女優さんに英語でファンレターを出したほどです。
On the 1st floor, you can browse Mr. Suzuki’s chronological table from childhood to the present, the state of the room, the collection, etc. Mr. Suzuki’s father liked Japanese movies, and he liked period dramas. On the other hand, Mr. Suzuki’s mother was a fan of Western Hollywood movies, and Mr. Suzuki even wrote a fan letter in English to an overseas actress.
寺田倉庫の2階部分では大きなトトロ人形があってスマホ撮影OKだったり、鈴木氏の家にあるという8,800冊所蔵の書斎の再現だったりと、プロデューサー・鈴木氏の脳内に迫る展示が続きます。これまで知らなかったのですが、鈴木さんて「生きろ」とかの習字の題字だけ書かれているかと思ってましたが、ラフ案とかマンガもものすごくお上手なんですね。ジブリ=100％宮崎さん、って考えてた頭が更新されました。ジブリは宮崎さん、鈴木さんらの化学反応で起きたのね。
On the 2nd floor of Warehouse TERRADA, there is a large Totoro doll that can be photographed with a smartphone, and there is a reproduction of the study of Mr. Suzuki’s house that holds 8,800 books. .
なお、結構会場内は混んでまして、本当はひとつひとつの展示を一語一句逃さず読みたかったのですが、できず残念でした。子供はこの展覧会に「行きたくない」と言ったので、一枚チケットは捨てて、お留守番させて速攻帰ろうという気マンマンで来たので。それでも私はジブリの背景が知れたので行って良かったです。
小学生や子供にはどう？
What about elementary school students and children?
前半はもしかすると少しだけ子供によっては退屈かもしれません。昔の時代の少年雑誌やレトロなレコードなどの展示に興味をひく子であれば、楽しめることでしょう。いわゆる「ジブリ」感のある展示やハデでキャッチーな展示は後半部分にあります。前半はしっかり、「プロデューサー：鈴木さんはどんな出版社時代を送ったか」みたいな文章を読む部分が多いので、小学校高学年～中学生くらいなら楽しいと思います。（そういうのにも興味ない子にはきついかもです）
The first half might be a little boring for some kids. Children who are interested in exhibits such as boys’ magazines and retro records from the old days will enjoy it. The so-called “Ghibli” exhibition and flashy and catchy exhibitions are in the second half.
なお、親目線で思ったのは（子供時代にいろいろ親はきっちり片付けないほうがいいな～）です。鈴木さんの根幹をになう想像力は四畳半の「自由にして良い」小さなスペースがあったからです。ここでマンガをひたすら友人と読み、遊び、出版社に行き、ジブリをつくるというキャリアステップになるのです。部屋の中でも子供が自由にちらかすスペースがなかったら、型押しされた会社員ロボットにしかならなかったかもしれない、と感じます。
In addition, what I thought from a parent’s point of view was (parents shouldn’t clean up a lot when they were kids). The imagination that forms the basis of Mr. Suzuki’s is because there was a small space of four and a half tatami mats that you could “freely do”. This is where you can earnestly read manga with friends, have fun, go to a publisher, and create Ghibli as a career step.

正直、わたしも今年開催されるとの情報を初めてローチケでみたときは、（ふ～ん）という感じに思いました。ジブリは好きだけど、別に鈴木敏夫さんは普通だし。ってか、なんで作りてがそんなに全面に出てくるの？そんな展覧会ってあり？って思っちゃんですね。それでチケットも大人1,800円でこども1,100円（各税込み）と、親子ペアで3,000円近いので、（あ、行かない）と思っちゃったわけです。
To be honest, when I first saw the information that it would be held this year on the LAWSON TICKET, I thought (hmm). I like Studio Ghibli, but Toshio Suzuki is just average.
しかし、ある日JRの電車の中で「鈴木敏夫とジブリ展」の紙袋を持った若い女の子を2人見かけました。（あ、あの展覧会に行ったんだ！）と思い、急に行きたくなり、スマホで調べました。すると、湯婆婆の部屋が再現されていると書いてあり、（これは行かねば！）と即、ローチケでチケットを取りました。チケットの空き状況をスマホ画面で見たときに、（え！この展覧会、こんなに人気なの？）と思うくらい、土日は全滅でした。

2022年の鈴木敏夫とジブリ展（東京）は、7月1日～9月7日まで天王洲の寺田倉庫B＆Cホールで開催中です。最近めっちゃオシャレになっている、天王洲！天王洲にはオシャレなキャナルカフェもあるので、カップルやおしゃれ女子はついでに天王洲散策も楽しめますね～★

私はJR浜松町駅から東京モノレールに乗り換えて天王洲アイル駅下車しました。駅からはやたら「寺田倉庫」の文字が見えますので、それに従い、あとはGoogleMapについていけばたどり着けます。天王洲アイル駅からは徒歩10分くらい見ておけば良いと思います。
I changed to the Tokyo Monorail from JR Hamamatsucho Station and got off at Tennozu Isle Station. From the station, you can see the letters “Terada Warehouse”, so follow it and follow GoogleMap to get there.

この展示会の一番最後には、グッズ売り場やアクティビティコーナーがあります。私はノーインフォメーションで行きましたが、湯婆婆のおみくじや湯屋のおみくじなど、別途チケットを買ってたらいろいろできたみたい。知らなかった、、。
At the very end of this exhibition, there is a goods sales floor and an activity corner. I went without any information, but if I had bought separate tickets for Yubaba’s Omikuji and Yuya’s Omikuji, I would have been able to do various things. I did not know,,.

グッズ売り場は混んでましたが、まったく身動きとれないほどではありません。みんなグッズ見てるけど、レジは空いてて。みんなどれにするか迷ってたのかな？私ははっちゃんが家で待ってるので、滞在時間全部で30分いかないくらいで速攻帰りました。
The goods department was crowded, but not so much that I couldn’t move at all. Everyone is looking at goods, but the cash register is empty.
